Frequently asked questions
What is Cobaver 1500mcg Injection?
Cobaver 1500mcg Injection contains vitamin B12, a vital nutrient essential for the body's processes. Vitamin B12 plays a crucial role in producing red blood cells and maintaining healthy nervous system function. Additionally, it facilitates energy release from food and works alongside vitamin B11 (folic acid) to further these bodily functions.
Why might I have difficulty obtaining sufficient Vitamin B12 through diet alone?
Dietary sources of Vitamin B12 include meat, fish, eggs, and dairy products. Those who follow a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle may find it challenging to obtain adequate Vitamin B12 as it is not naturally found in fruits, vegetables, and grains. Therefore, vegetarians and vegans are more likely to develop a deficiency of Vitamin B12.
What occurs when I experience a vitamin B12 deficiency?
Vitamin B12 deficiency can lead to various symptoms like fatigue and weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, and megaloblastic anemia (a condition characterized by abnormally large red blood cells). Other potential side effects include nerve problems such as numbness or tingling in the hands and feet. Additionally, it may cause issues with balance, depression, confusion, dementia, memory impairment, oral sores or tongue pain.
Is Cobaver 1500mcg Injection safe to administer?
Cobaver 1500mcg Injection is generally well-tolerated and considered safe. However, rare side effects may occur including nausea, diarrhea, anorexia, or rash. If a rash develops, discontinue use immediately.
How should Cobaver 1500mcg Injection be administered?
Cobaver 1500mcg Injection can be administered either intravenously (into a vein) or intramuscularly (into a muscle). The usual dosage is 1 ampoule (containing 0.5 mg of Cobaver 1500mcg Injection), and it is usually given three times per week. After two months, one ampoule (0.5 mg of Cobaver 1500mcg Injection) is administered every one to three months for maintenance therapy.
What precautions should be taken when administering Cobaver 1500mcg Injection?
Avoid repeated injections at the same site on your body. If you experience intense pain during injection or notice blood flowing back into the syringe, remove the needle and re-insert at a different location.
