Amisulpride Aripiprazole Chlorpromazine Cilostazol
Clotrin Lotion is an antifungal medication which treats skin infections. It works by killing the fungi on the skin by destroying their cell membrane.
Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Keep your feet clean and dry, particularly between the toes. Cut your nails short and prefer open-toe shoes for everyday use. Keep your vagina clean and dry. Use a separate clean towel for the infected area. Take a shower with antifungal soap after gyming or severe sweating. Never share your socks, shoes, and towel with others. Apply a sufficient amount to cover the affected area and 1 inch of the immediate surrounding skin. Avoid getting it in the eyes, nose, or mouth. If accidental exposure occurs, rinse immediately with plenty of water. Inform your doctor if the infection does not clear up even after four weeks of treatment. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding. If used topically on the nipple area, wash breasts before feeding your child. Do not apply Clotrin Lotion on cuts or burns. Keep away from children.
Clotrin Lotion is an antifungal medication. It is used to treat fungal skin infections such as ringworm (a rash that causes red scaly patches on different parts of the body), athlete's foot, fungal nappy rash, and fungal sweat rash. It can also be used to relieve irritation of the vulva (vulvar thrush) and irritation at the end of the penis, which may be associated with thrush.
Clotrin Lotion is effective against Trichophyton species, which cause ringworm infection, athlete's foot, and jock itch (fungal infection of the skin in the groin or buttocks). It is also effective against yeast known as Candida, which commonly causes vaginal thrush (an infection caused by an overgrowth of the yeast called Candida albicans).
Symptoms of skin infections, such as itching or soreness, should improve within a few days of treatment. However, signs like redness and scaling may take longer to disappear. Do not stop using this medication before the duration advised by your doctor, even if you feel better.
Always wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying Clotrin Lotion. If you are using the cream for an infected foot, wash and dry your feet thoroughly before applying the cream, especially between the toes, before applying the cream. Clotrin Lotion should be applied thinly and evenly and rubbed gently onto the affected areas two or three times daily.
The duration of treatment depends on the type of infection. In general, the treatment is continued for 1 month for tinea infection and for at least 15 days for Candida infection. Do not stop using the medication without consulting your doctor, even if you feel better, as this may lead to the infection returning.
Clotrin Lotion is safe for children only if taken as directed by a doctor. It should be given to children in the correct dosage and only for the prescribed time. Minor side effects may occur, but usually are not bothersome. If you experience severe burning, redness, or itching while using this medication, discontinue use and contact your doctor.
Keep the affected skin areas clean and dry but avoid excessive rubbing. It is important to note that scratching can damage the skin surface and may spread the infection further. Do not share towels, bath mats, or other personal items with others to prevent potential transmission of the fungal infection.
Clotrin Lotion may reduce the effectiveness of rubber contraceptives like diaphragms and condoms. If you are using the medication on the vulva or penis, it is advised to use alternative contraceptive methods for at least five days after use.
