Apply a sufficient amount to cover the affected area and 1 inch of the immediate surrounding skin. Avoid getting it in the eyes, nose, or mouth. If accidental exposure occurs, rinse immediately with plenty of water. Inform your doctor if the infection does not clear up even after four weeks of treatment. Clotree Dusting Powder is an antifungal medicine. It is used to treat fungal skin infections such as ringworm (a fungal skin infection causing a red scaly rash on different parts of the body), athlete's foot (fungal infection of the skin on the feet and between the toes), fungal nappy rash, and fungal sweat rash. It also relieves irritation of the vulva (external thrush) and irritation occurring at the end of the penis, which may be associated with thrush.
Clotree Dusting Powder is effective against Trichophyton species, which cause ringworm infection, athlete's foot, and jock itch (fungal skin infection in the groin or buttocks). It is also effective against yeast known as Candida, commonly causing vaginal thrush.
Symptoms of skin infections, such as itching or soreness, usually improve within a few days of treatment. However, signs like redness and scaling may take longer to disappear. Do not stop using this medicine before the duration advised by your doctor, even if you feel better.
Always wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying Clotree Dusting Powder. If using the cream for an infected foot, wash and dry your feet thoroughly before applying the cream, especially between the toes, before applying the cream. Clotree Dusting Powder should be applied thinly and evenly and gently rubbed onto the affected areas two or three times daily.
The duration of treatment depends on the type of infection. For tinea infections, treatment typically continues for 1 month. For Candida infection, at least 15 days of treatment are usually required. Do not stop using this medicine without consulting your doctor, even if you feel better.
Clotree Dusting Powder is only safe for children when taken as directed by a doctor. It should be administered to children at the correct dosage and for the prescribed length of time.
Keep the affected skin areas clean and dry, but avoid excessive rubbing. You may feel the urge to scratch due to itching, but scratching can damage your skin and could spread the infection. Avoid sharing towels, bath mats, etc., with others.
Clotree Dusting Powder may decrease the effectiveness of rubber contraceptives like diaphragms and condoms. If you're using the cream on your vulva or penis, you should use alternative contraceptive methods for at least 5 days after using Clotree Dusting Powder.
