Frequently asked questions
Can Clomik Cream be used for long durations?
No, Clomik Cream should not be used for prolonged periods. The recommended treatment duration is typically 2 consecutive weeks. However, in cases of chronic inflammatory conditions, the treatment may be extended as instructed by your physician.
Does Clomik Cream cause severe skin reactions?
Severe skin reactions are uncommon when using Clomik Cream. It is an anti-inflammatory medication used to treat skin diseases, skin reactions, and eczemas. However, individuals with hypersensitivity may experience skin reactions. Maintaining open areas after application of the cream is crucial as occlusive dressings (air- and water-tight dressings) could potentially lead to skin reactions. Although the medicine itself might not cause a reaction, it's important to be aware that certain excipients in the medication can trigger reactions in some individuals.
Can Clomik Cream be used on the face?
No, Clomik Cream should not be used on the face. It is also unsuitable for use on the armpits (axillae), groin, or areas with tissue atrophy at the treatment site. In certain limited cases, it may be considered by doctors after consultation. Use of Clomik Cream on the face is strictly limited to a maximum of 5 days and should only be done with your doctor's guidance.
Can Clomik Cream be used on children?
Clomik Cream is not recommended for use in children younger than 1 year of age. It is also not recommended for older children and adolescents due to increased side effect probability. In the pediatric population, there's a heightened risk of immune system suppression, which can increase their susceptibility to other diseases and atrophy. In rare instances, a doctor may prescribe this medication, but treatment duration should be limited to 5 days, with therapy reviewed weekly.
Can we use Clomik Cream in infections?
Clomik Cream is not an antimicrobial or antifungal agent. It's a steroid medication that suppresses the immune system and increases the risk of infection. Bacterial infections may worsen if they are covered with dressing after using Clomik Cream. If inflammatory lesions get infected, spread of infection occurs, consult your doctor immediately. The doctor will discontinue Clomik Cream use and provide appropriate antimicrobial therapy.
Can I stop taking Clomik Cream when my symptoms are alleviated?
No, do not stop taking Clomik Cream even if you feel better. Finish the full course of treatment as instructed by your physician, as symptoms may improve before completion. If stopped prematurely, you risk experiencing a relapse.
Does Clomik Cream cause dangerous skin reactions?
Local skin reactions are rare with Clomik Cream. It is an anti-inflammatory medication used to treat skin diseases, skin reactions, and eczemas. However, hypersensitivity can lead to skin reactions. Maintaining open areas after application of the cream is crucial as occlusive dressings (air- and water-tight dressings) could potentially lead to skin reactions. If not by the medicine itself, sometimes the reactions are also caused by the added excipients in the medication.
