Introduction

Clodide Ear Drop is a combination medicine that is used to treat ear infections. It prevents the growth of the bacteria that cause infection in the ears. It also relieves the symptoms of inflammation such as redness, itchiness, and irritation. Use it as per the label instructions or as suggested by your doctor. This medicine should be applied only to the affected ear. Use it regularly to get the most benefit. The course of the medicine should be completed even if you feel better. Wash your hands before and after instilling the medicine. Do not use it more than the recommended dose.

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the ear without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside ear.

Clodide Ear Drop is a combination of three medicines: Chloramphenicol, Clotrimazole, and Beclometasone. Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic which stops bacterial growth while Clotrimazole is an antifungal which prevents the growth of fungi in the ear. Together they treat your infection effectively. Beclometasone is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make your ear red, swollen, and itchy.

Do not touch the tip to any surface or to your ear to avoid contamination. Talk to your doctor if your symptoms haven't started to improve within two days of starting treatment. Avoid contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth. Rinse it off with water if you accidentally get the drop in these areas. Stop using Clodide Ear Drop and inform your doctor if you notice ear irritation, burning sensation, or allergic reaction. Throw away any medicine left at the end of the course.
