Frequently asked questions
Can Clobester S Lotion be used for a long time?
No, Clobester S Lotion should not be used for longer than two consecutive weeks. However, treatment duration may be extended for chronic (long-term) inflammatory conditions. It is important to consult with your physician before using this medication.
Does Clobester S Lotion cause severe skin reactions?
Severe skin reactions are uncommon with Clobester S Lotion. It is an anti-inflammatory drug used to treat skin diseases, skin reactions and eczemas. However, skin reactions can occur in people who have hypersensitive skin. It is important to maintain open affected areas after applying Clobester S Lotion as occlusive dressings (air- and water-tight dressing) may lead to further skin reactions. The medication itself might not cause a reaction, but the added excipients with the medications can sometimes lead to a reaction in some cases. In case of any skin reactions, contact your doctor immediately.
Can Clobester S Lotion be used on the face?
No, Clobester S Lotion should not be used on the face. Additionally, it should not be used in armpits (axillae), groin, or if there is atrophy (wasting away of tissues) at the treatment site. In certain cases, the doctor may recommend using this medication after consultation with your physician. It should only be applied to the affected area for a maximum of 5 days, if possible.
Can Clobester S Lotion be used on children?
Clobester S Lotion is not recommended for use in children under one year of age. It is also not recommended for older children and adolescents as the side effects are more common in them. In the pediatric population, there's an increased risk of suppressed immune systems which may make the child more susceptible to other diseases and atrophy. Therefore, it is not recommended. In rare cases, your doctor may recommend this medication, but the treatment will be limited to 5 days, and therapy will be reviewed weekly.
Can we use Clobester S Lotion in infections?
Clobester S Lotion is not an antimicrobial or antifungal agent. It is a corticosteroid medication that suppresses the immune system and increases the risk of infection. Bacterial infections are more likely to worsen if the infected area is covered with a dressing after using Clobester S Lotion. In case of infection, contact your doctor immediately. The doctor will withdraw Clobester S Lotion and provide appropriate antimicrobial therapy.
Can I stop taking Clobester S Lotion when my symptoms are relieved?
No, do not stop taking Clobester S Lotion or finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Your symptoms may improve before your treatment is complete. Stopping Clobester S Lotion before your treatment is completed could cause your symptoms to return.
Does Clobester S Lotion cause dangerous skin reactions?
Localized skin reactions are uncommon with Clobester S Lotion. It's an anti-inflammatory drug used to treat skin diseases, skin reactions, and eczemas. However, skin reactions can occur in people who have hypersensitive skin. It is important to keep the affected area open after applying Clobester S Lotion as occlusive dressings (air- and water-tight dressing) may lead to further skin reactions. If not by the medication itself, sometimes the reactions are also caused by the added excipients with the medications. Contact your doctor immediately in case you encounter any skin reactions.
