Clerich 500mg Tablet is an antibiotic effective against various infections, including those caused by H. pylori, which is associated with peptic ulcer disease. It is also effective against infections like MAC (Mycobacterium avium complex) seen in people with reduced immunity. The medicine works by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria, thus stopping their growth and preventing the infection from spreading. Common side effects include diarrhea, nausea, abnormal taste, indigestion, abdominal pain, headache, vomiting, and rash. These side effects are usually temporary and subside with the completion of treatment. Consult your doctor if these side effects persist. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using this medicine.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Clerich 500mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time. Avoid Clerich 500mg Tablet with tyramine-rich food such as cheese, smoked fish, meats, and some types of beer.

Stop taking Clerich 500mg Tablet and inform your doctor immediately if you develop an itchy rash, swelling of the face, throat, or tongue, or breathing difficulties while taking it.
