Cibis Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Clidinium, Chlordiazepoxide and Dicyclomine. Clidinium and Dicyclomine are antispasmodics which work by relaxing the muscles in your stomach and gut (intestine). They stop sudden muscle contractions (spasms). This relieves cramps, pain, bloating and discomfort. Chlordiazepoxide is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the action of GABA, a chemical messenger which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.
If you are due to have an operation or any dental treatment, please tell the doctor carrying out the treatment that you are taking Cibis Tablet. This is because Cibis Tablet increases the effects of some anesthetics. If you are 65 or older, use Cibis Tablet with care. You could have more side effects. If you develop any new symptoms or if your symptoms get worse, make an appointment to see your doctor for further advice.
