Cgbose 50mg Tablet is used to treat people with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It helps lower blood sugar levels after meals.

Cgbose 50mg Tablet should be taken just before or along with the first few bites of the meal. The dose and how often you need it will be decided by your doctor so that you get the right amount to control your blood sugar levels. It may be increased gradually. Do not stop taking it without consulting your doctor. If you do, your blood sugar levels may increase and put you at risk of serious complications like kidney damage and blindness.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Cgbose 50mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
Cgbose 50mg Tablet is an anti-diabetic medicine. It inhibits the intestinal enzymes responsible for breaking complex sugars into simple sugars such as glucose. This prevents blood glucose levels from rising very high immediately after meals.

Cgbose 50mg Tablet does not directly cause hypoglycemia. It may lead to a slight decrease in blood sugar levels when combined with other antidiabetic medications or insulin. If significant hypoglycemic effects are observed, consult your healthcare provider for possible dose adjustments.
Cgbose 50mg Tablet inhibits the digestion of carbohydrates, leading to the buildup of undigested carbohydrates in the colon. This accumulated carbohydrate then undergoes bacterial fermentation in the colon, resulting in intestinal gas and subsequent flatulence and abdominal discomfort.
Diarrhea is a common side effect of Cgbose 50mg Tablet. However, its occurrence varies among individuals. Consuming food containing carbohydrates, such as household sugar or cane sugar, can trigger diarrhea and severe abdominal pain. If the diarrhea persists or intensifies, seek immediate medical attention.
Cgbose 50mg Tablet should be taken with meals and swallowed whole, either with water or after a first mouthful of food. The initial dose is typically twice daily; then, the dosage can be gradually increased to thrice daily.
If you miss a dose of Cgbose 50mg Tablet, do not try to make up for the missed dose by taking an extra dose. Wait for your next scheduled dose and meal. Take only one dose as prescribed.
Exceeding the recommended dosage of Cgbose 50mg Tablet may lead to temporary increased flatulence (gas accumulation), diarrhea, and abdominal discomfort. It's advisable to avoid food or drinks containing carbohydrates for 4-6 hours after exceeding the prescribed dose.
Cgbose 50mg Tablet is contraindicated in individuals with allergies to it, as well as those with severe liver disease or intestinal inflammation/ulceration (e.g., Crohn's disease). Additionally, its use should be restricted for patients with intestinal obstructions (cramping pain, vomiting, obstipation, and lack of flatus) and a large hernia or a condition where food is not digested or absorbed properly. Furthermore, women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should avoid Cgbose 50mg Tablet.
