Cetvin M Syrup is commonly prescribed in children to treat symptoms of allergy such as runny nose, sneezing, itching, swelling, congestion, and watery eyes. It may also help in the treatment of asthma and skin allergies.
Directions for Use
Cetvin M Syrup is used to prevent asthma attacks and relieve symptoms of allergy. It should not be used to stop an attack that has already started.
How it works
Cetvin M Syrup contains Levocetirizine and Montelukast. Together these two relieve sneezing and runny nose caused due to allergies. Levocetirizine is an antiallergic that blocks a chemical messenger (histamine) responsible for runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist that works by blocking another chemical messenger (leukotriene). This reduces inflammation (swelling) in the airways and nose and improves symptoms.

Never combine Cetvin M Syrup with other cold and flu medicines as that may have side effects. Cetvin M Syrup helps prevent asthma attacks. Never use it to stop an attack that has already started as it will not help. If you are giving Cetvin M Syrup to your child for asthma or allergy, you need not give another dose to prevent exercise-induced breathing problems.
