Cetirizine (5mg/ml)
Cetiriz 5mg/5ml Syrup is used to treat symptoms of allergies such as watery eyes, runny nose, sneezing, and itching in children.
Syrup
Cetiriz 5mg/5ml Syrup is an antihistamine medication given to children to alleviate symptoms associated with allergic conditions like hay fever, urticaria (hives), conjunctivitis (red, itchy eyes), and the common cold. It works by blocking the natural chemical histamine in the body, which is responsible for allergic reactions. While it is effective in treating these symptoms, it may cause side effects such as drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, and constipation. It is important to follow the prescribed dosage and consult a doctor if any severe reactions occur.
Administer the syrup as prescribed by the doctor. It is usually given once a day. Avoid giving it with fatty meals and fruit juice as they can reduce the absorption of the medicine.

Aprepitant Fosaprepitant Zafirlukast Alprazolam
Cetiriz 5mg/5ml Syrup belongs to a class of medicines called antihistamines. It blocks the natural chemical substance (histamine) produced in the body during an allergic state and subsides the immune system’s response to these conditions, thereby relieving the symptoms.
Try giving the medicine at the same time each day to help you remember. Your child may feel sleepy or dizzy after each dose. If this happens, make your child sit or lie down and ask them to be careful while performing tasks that require mental focus. Avoid giving Cetiriz 5mg/5ml Syrup with fatty meals and fruit juice as both can reduce the absorption of the medicine. Dry mouth can occur as a side effect. Taking sips of water may help. Cetiriz 5mg/5ml Syrup can trigger constipation. Give plenty of fluids and a fiber-rich diet to your child.
