Introduction

Cefigic-O Tablet is a prescription medicine used to treat bacterial infections. It can be taken with or without food but must be taken at a fixed time for better efficacy. Do not exceed the recommended dose as it may have harmful effects. Complete the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and indigestion. Seek immediate medical help if you experience any allergic reactions. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to conceive, or breastfeeding. Avoid alcohol as it can cause excessive drowsiness. Your doctor may recommend laboratory tests to monitor the effects of the medicine.

Cefigic-O Tablet is a combination of two antibiotics: Cefixime and Ofloxacin. Cefixime prevents the formation of the bacterial protective covering essential for bacterial survival, while Ofloxacin prevents bacteria from reproducing and repairing themselves. Together, they effectively treat infections.

You have been prescribed Cefigic-O Tablet to cure your infection and improve your symptoms. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping it early may make the infection come back and harder to treat. Take it with food to avoid an upset stomach. Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it does not stop or if you find blood in your stools. Discontinue Cefigic-O Tablet and inform your doctor immediately if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing. Notify your doctor if you feel pain in your tendons, numbness, or tingling sensations. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to conceive or breastfeeding.
