Caswin P 0.05% Nasal Drops is a medicine that helps clear and soothes the blocked nose, thereby relieving nasal congestion due to common cold, hay fever, or other respiratory allergies in children. It is a nasal decongestant that helps in opening up the nasal passages by reducing excessive nasal secretions and also reducing the swelling in the blood vessels in the inner surface of the nose. This provides temporary relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose.
Use Caswin P 0.05% Nasal Drops as directed by your doctor. Do not give more than the recommended dose as it can lead to side effects. Do not use it more than 3 times a day.

Do not administer Caswin P 0.05% Nasal Drops for longer than 10 consecutive days as it may lead to complications such as "atrophic rhinitis". Stopping the medication suddenly can also cause "rebound congestion" in your child. Follow the prescribed dosing schedule.
An overdose of Caswin P 0.05% Nasal Drops can cause severe dizziness, perspiration, significantly lower body temperature, headache, bradycardia (slow heart rate), hypertension (high blood pressure), respiratory depression (breathing difficulties), coma, and convulsions. It may even lead to high blood pressure followed by a fall in blood pressure. Children are more sensitive to toxicity than adults, so it is essential to contact your child's doctor immediately if this occurs.
Before administering Caswin P 0.05% Nasal Drops, ensure your child clears their nose by blowing gently. Then, ask your child to lie down and tilt their head back as far as possible or keep the head over the side if lying on a bed. Open the medication bottle cap and avoid touching the nozzle to the nose while applying the drops into each nostril. After application, keep the head tilted back for a short time to allow the drops to spread throughout the nose. Replace the cap immediately after use. If the drop misses the nose completely, administer it again. If any part of the drop enters the nose, do not administer another drop. Repeat for the other nostril. After application, clean and dry the nozzle before replacing the cap.
Contact your child's doctor immediately if they experience signs like insomnia, dizziness, tremor, irregular heartbeat, or elevated blood pressure after using Caswin P 0.05% Nasal Drops.
