Syrup
Cartum 125mg Syrup is an antibiotic that can be given either before or after meals. The dose and duration depend on the type and severity of the infection. It is essential to stick to the dose, time, and way prescribed by the doctor. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of intake, give the same dose again, but do not double dose if it is already time for the next dose. This medicine may have some minor and temporary side effects, but these episodes should start receding after a few doses.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Cartum 125mg Syrup is to be taken with food. Avoid Cartum 125mg Syrup with dietary sodium.
Cartum 125mg Syrup is an antibiotic that works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) which is essential for the survival of the bacteria. By doing so, this medicine stops the infection-causing bacteria from growing further and prevents the infection from spreading without making them resistant to further treatment.
Encourage your child to drink plenty of water in case diarrhea develops as a side effect. Your child must complete the entire course of antibiotics. Stopping too soon may cause the bacteria to multiply again or cause another infection. Only give Cartum 125mg Syrup to your child for their current infection. Never save medicine for future illnesses. Discontinue giving Cartum 125mg Syrup and consult the doctor immediately in case your child develops an itchy rash, facial swelling, or breathing difficulties while taking this medicine.
