It is advised to take it as per the prescription, with or without food, at a fixed time. Do not consume more than the recommended dose, as this may have harmful effects on your body. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. The treatment must be completed even if you feel better. The common side effects of this medicine are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, rashes, etc. If any of the side effects get aggravated, you must consult your doctor immediately. Carbamox Capsule is a combination of two medicines: Amoxycillin and Carbocisteine. Amoxycillin is an antibiotic that kills bacteria by preventing them from forming their own protective covering. Carbocisteine is a mucolytic that thins and loosens mucus, making it easier to cough out. Addition of Carbocisteine enhances the antibacterial effect of Amoxycillin.

Take your medication timely to maintain steady levels in your body. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Discontinue Carbamox Capsule and inform your doctor immediately if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing. Diarrhea might occur as a side effect of medicine. Drink plenty of fluids or inform your doctor if it bothers you. Avoid consuming alcohol while taking medication as it may cause increased side effects.
