Frequently asked questions
What is Canzorb Dusting Powder used for?
Canzorb Dusting Powder is an antifungal medicine used to treat fungal skin infections such as ringworm, athlete's foot, and vulvar thrush. It is also effective against candida infection and other types of fungal infections.
Canzorb Dusting Powder is effective against which fungi?
Canzorb Dusting Powder is effective against Trichophyton species, which cause ringworm infection, athlete's foot, and jock itch. It also effectively kills yeast known as Candida, commonly causing vaginal thrush.
I have started using Canzorb Dusting Powder. By when can I expect to start seeing the improvements?
The symptoms of skin infection such as itching or soreness should improve within a few days of treatment. However, signs like redness and scaling may take longer to disappear. It is essential not to stop applying this medicine before the duration advised by your doctor.
What precautions are necessary while applying Canzorb Dusting Powder?
Always wash hands thoroughly before and after applying Canzorb Dusting Powder. When using the cream for infected feet, ensure they are clean and dry before application, especially between toes. Apply the powder thinly and evenly, rubbing it gently onto affected areas 2-3 times daily.
For how long should I apply Canzorb Dusting Powder? Can I stop if the symptoms have completely disappeared?
The duration of treatment depends on the type of infection. For tinea infections, treatment is continued for 1 month. For candida infections and other types, it is at least 15 days. It is crucial not to stop the treatment even after symptoms seem to be gone because the fungus can take time to fully clear.
Is Canzorb Dusting Powder safe to use in children?
Canzorb Dusting Powder is safe for children when used as directed by a doctor. It should only be given in the correct dose and for the prescribed duration. Minor side effects may occur, but they are usually not bothersome. However, if severe burning sensations, redness, or itching appear, stop the medicine and consult with your doctor.
Are there any measures that should be taken to help a faster recovery?
Keep the affected skin areas clean and dry but avoid excessive rubbing. The urge to scratch because of itchiness is common; however, scratching can damage the skin's surface and cause the infection to spread further. Also, do not share towels, bath mats, etc., with other people as this could lead to spreading the infection.
Does Canzorb Dusting Powder affect contraception?
Canzorb Dusting Powder may reduce the effectiveness of rubber contraceptives like diaphragms and condoms. If using the cream on the vulva or penis, alternative methods of contraception should be used for at least 5 days after applying the dusting powder.
