For how long do I need to take Candrin 200mg Capsule?
The duration of treatment with Candrin 200mg Capsule varies depending on the type and site of infection and your response to the medication. For example, if you are treating athlete’s foot (fungal infection of the skin on the feet and between the toes), the dosage might require treatment for 30 days. If you are treating candidiasis (yeast) infection in the vagina, the dosage duration may range from 1 day to 3 days depending on the prescribed dosage by your doctor.
I am taking Candrin 200mg Capsule for a nail infection but there doesn’t seem to be any improvement. Can I stop taking it?
You should not stop taking Candrin 200mg Capsule without completing the entire course as stopping before may not completely cure the fungal infection. It usually takes 6-9 months for nail lesions to disappear because after the medicine eliminates the fungus, the new nail takes several months to grow. Drug resistance happens when the fungus in your body changes and the medication no longer works. This is called drug resistance. Resistance to Candrin 200mg Capsule has been reported with some candida species (krusei, glabrata, and tropicalis). Candrin 200mg Capsule should not be used for infections caused by these species. Always take the entire course of Candrin 200mg Capsule to avoid drug resistance.
