Introduction

Candifem Vaginal Cream is to be used as per the label instructions or as suggested by your doctor. This medicine is only for vaginal application. You must wash your hands before and after using it. It is best to use this at bedtime regularly to get the most benefit. If there is any accidental exposure of the medicine to the eyes or mouth, you must wash immediately. For better efficacy of the medicine, the course of the treatment should be completed even if you feel better. Do not use it more than the recommended dose.

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the cream by using applicator. Wash your hands after applying.

Candifem Vaginal Cream is a combination of two medicines: Miconazole and Ornidazole. Miconazole is an antifungal medicine which stops the growth of fungi by preventing them from forming their own protective covering. Ornidazole is an antibiotic which kills bacteria and other infectious microorganisms by damaging the DNA. Together, they treat your infection effectively.

It is inserted into the vagina using an applicator usually at night before going to bed. Avoid getting it in the eyes, mouth or nose. Rinse with cold water if you accidentally get it in these areas. It can damage condoms and diaphragms and make them ineffective at preventing pregnancy. Ask your doctor about other suitable methods of preventing pregnancy. It may cause minor burning, stinging, or irritation when applied. Inform your doctor if this does not go away. Inform your doctor if your condition does not get improved within 3 days of taking the medicine.
