Candex 1% Cream is an antifungal medication used to treat fungal skin infections such as ringworm, athlete's foot, nappy rash, sweat rash, and vaginal thrush.

Candex 1% Cream is for external use only. You should use it in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. This medicine should be used regularly to get the most benefit from it. Do not use more than you need as that may cause increased side effects. If your condition goes on for longer than four weeks or gets worse at any time, let your doctor know. The effects of this medicine can be increased by keeping the affected area clean and dry and washing hands before and after treating the infection. If you have an athlete's foot, wash your socks or tights thoroughly and change your shoes daily if possible. Some of the common side effects include skin irritation, redness, or itching at the site of application. If the side effects bother you or do not go away, let your doctor know. Some people have a severe allergic reaction that needs urgent medical attention. Signs of this include rash, swelling of the lips, throat, or face, swallowing or breathing problems, dizziness and nausea. Get emergency help if this happens.

Candex 1% Cream is an antifungal medication which treats skin infections. It works by killing the fungi on the skin by destroying their cell membrane.
Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Keep your feet clean and dry, particularly between the toes. Cut your nails short and prefer open-toe shoes for everyday use. Keep your vagina clean and dry. Use a separate clean towel for the infected area. Take a shower with antifungal soap after gyming or severe sweating. Never share your socks, shoes, and towel with others. Apply a sufficient amount to cover the affected area and 1 inch of the immediate surrounding skin. Avoid getting it in the eyes, nose, or mouth. If accidental exposure occurs, rinse immediately with plenty of water. Inform your doctor if the infection does not clear up even after four weeks of treatment. If used topically on the nipple area, wash breasts before feeding your child. Do not apply Candex 1% Cream on cuts or burns. Keep away from children.
Candex 1% Cream is an antifungal medicine used to treat fungal skin infections such as ringworm, athlete's foot, fungal nappy rash, and fungal sweat rash. It also relieves irritation of the vulva (external thrush) and irritation occurring at the end of the penis associated with thrush.
Candex 1% Cream is effective against Trichophyton species causing ringworm infection, athlete's foot, and jock itch. It also works against yeast known as Candida that commonly causes vaginal thrush.
The symptoms of skin infection like itching or soreness should improve within a few days of treatment. However, signs such as redness and scaling may take longer to disappear. Do not stop applying this medicine before the duration advised by your doctor even if you feel better.
Always wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying Candex 1% Cream. If using the cream for an infected foot, wash and dry your feet, especially between the toes, before applying the cream. Apply a thin layer evenly to affected areas two or three times daily.
The treatment duration depends on the type of infection: 1 month for tinea infections and at least 15 days for candida infections. Do not stop the treatment even if you feel better as the infection may come back.
Candex 1% Cream is safe for children when used as directed by a doctor. Follow the prescribed dosage and duration of treatment. Minor side effects are normal, but if you experience severe burning sensations, redness, or itching, stop the medicine and consult your doctor.
Keep affected skin areas clean and dry. Avoid excessive rubbing as it can damage the skin and cause the infection to spread further. Do not share personal items with others as you might spread the infection.
Candex 1% Cream may reduce the effectiveness of rubber contraceptives like diaphragms and condoms. If using the cream on the vulva or penis, use alternative methods of contraception for at least 5 days after using Candex 1% Cream.
