Keep your feet clean and dry particularly between the toes. Cut your nails short and prefer open-toe shoes for everyday use. Keep your vagina clean and dry. Use a separate clean towel for the infected area. Take a shower with antifungal soap after gyming or severe sweating. Never share your socks shoes and towel with others. Apply a sufficient amount to cover the affected area and 1 inch of the immediate surrounding skin. Avoid getting it in the eyes nose or mouth. If accidental exposure occurs rinse immediately with plenty of water. Inform your doctor if the infection does not clear up even after four weeks of treatment. If used topically on the nipple area wash breasts before feeding your child.

Frequently asked questions

What is Canazole-VG Gel used for?

Canazole-VG Gel is an antifungal medicine used to treat various fungal skin infections, including ringworm, athlete's foot, fungal nappy rash, fungal sweat rash, irritation of the vulva (external thrush), and irritation at the end of the penis associated with thrush.

Canazole-VG Gel is effective against which fungi?

Canazole-VG Gel is effective against Trichophyton species, which cause ringworm, athlete's foot, and jock itch, as well as Candida yeast, which commonly causes vaginal thrush.

I have started using Canazole-VG Gel. By when can I expect to start seeing the improvements?

You can expect to see improvements in symptoms such as itching or soreness within a few days of treatment. However, signs like redness and scaling may take longer to clear up. It is essential to complete the full treatment duration advised by your doctor, even if you feel better.

What precautions are necessary while applying Canazole-VG Gel?

To ensure safe application, wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying Canazole-VG Gel. If using the cream for an infected foot, wash and dry your feet thoroughly, especially between the toes, before applying the cream. Apply the cream thinly and evenly, rubbing it gently onto the affected areas two to three times daily.

For how long should I apply Canazole-VG Gel? Can I stop if the symptoms have completely disappeared?

The treatment duration depends on the type of infection. Typically, treatment is continued for one month for tinea infections and at least 15 days for candida infections. Do not discontinue treatment on your own, as the infection may recur and it takes time to kill the fungus.

Is Canazole-VG Gel safe to use in children?

Canazole-VG Gel is safe for children when used as directed by your doctor. It should only be given to children in the correct dose for the prescribed length of time. Minor side effects may occur, but they are usually not bothersome. However, if you experience a severe burning sensation, redness, or itching, stop the medicine and consult your doctor.

Are there any measures that should be taken to help a faster recovery?

To promote recovery, keep the affected skin areas clean and dry, but avoid excessive rubbing. Try to resist scratching due to itchiness, as it can damage the skin and spread the infection further. Avoid sharing towels, bath mats, and other personal items to prevent spreading the infection to others.

Does Canazole-VG Gel affect contraception?

Canazole-VG Gel may reduce the effectiveness of rubber contraceptives, such as diaphragms and condoms. If you are using the cream on the vulva or penis, consider alternative methods of contraception for at least 5 days after using Canazole-VG Gel.
