Introduction

Caltate-K2 Softgel Capsule is a combination of seven medicines: Calcitriol, Calcium Carbonate, Zinc, Magnesium, Vitamin K2-7, Methylcobalamin, and L-Methyl Folate. It is used to treat calcium deficiency when your diet alone cannot provide the necessary supplements your body needs. It is generally safe medicine with little or no side effects. However, if you experience any symptoms on taking the medicine, let your doctor know. They may be able to suggest ways to reduce or prevent the side effects.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Caltate-K2 Softgel Capsule may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Vitamin K2-7 plays a central role in the metabolism of calcium, the main mineral found in your bones and teeth. Methylcobalamin is a form of vitamin B12 that restores its level in the body thereby helping in treating certain anemias and nerve problems. Let your doctor know if you are taking any other medications like for bone disorders, antihypertensives, antibiotics, antacids, other calcium supplements, or medicines for heart disease. Inform your doctor if you are taking an iron supplement as the absorption rate might be affected. Include calcium-rich food in your diet like milk, cheese, yogurt, calcium-fortified soya milk, and green leafy vegetables like spinach.
