Calogon Lotion is a combination of three medicines. Calamine has mild astringent and antipruritic actions. It is an anti-itch medication that works by causing a cooling sensation as it evaporates on your skin. Aloe Vera is a plant. Its extracts form a protective layer on the skin by restoring moisture so that it feels hydrated and refreshed. Liquid Paraffin is an emollient (a substance that softens or soothes the skin). You have been prescribed Calogon Lotion for the treatment of dermatitis. It may take several weeks to show its action. Keep using it as suggested by your doctor. Apply it as a thin layer onto a clean, dry, unbroken infected area of skin. Avoid contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth. Rinse it off with water if you accidentally get the cream in these areas. Call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve after 7 days of treatment or if your symptoms clear up and then come back.
