Other medicines for bone disorders or heart disease, antihypertensives, antibiotics, antacids, or other calcium supplements
Calckhart D3 Softgel Capsule is a combination of B vitamins and minerals. Calcitriol works by helping the body utilize more of the calcium present in ingested foods or supplements and regulating the body's production of parathyroid hormone. Calcium carbonate works in the blood by preventing or treating negative calcium balance seen in low serum calcium conditions. Calcium is required for healthy muscles, bones, nervous system, and heart. Omega-3 fatty acids may decrease the amount of triglycerides and other fats produced in the liver. Methylcobalamin corrects vitamin B12 deficiency, thereby helping in treating certain anemias and nerve problems. Folic acid is essential for the production of red blood cells. It prevents and treats folate deficiency and anemia. When taken by pregnant women, folic acid prevents miscarriage, preterm labor, and neural tube defects in infants. Boron improves the metabolism of key vitamins and minerals.
Inform your doctor if you have kidney problems or if you have ever had kidney stones. Let your doctor know if you are taking any other medications like for bone disorders or heart disease, antihypertensives, antibiotics, antacids, or other calcium supplements. Inform your doctor if you are taking an iron supplement, as its absorption rate might be affected if co-administered with Calckhart D3 Softgel Capsule.
Calckhart D3 Softgel Capsule is a nutritional supplement containing various vitamins and minerals. It can help replenish nutrient deficiencies, which may occur even when consuming a healthy diet. This medicine also contains a high amount of calcium to improve calcium levels in the body.
It is advisable to avoid combining this medicine with other herbal or health supplements.
Calcium plays a crucial role in maintaining strong bones and teeth. It also facilitates nerve signal transmission, aids in blood clotting, and helps muscles contract and relax. Although most of the calcium we get from our diet is stored in bones and teeth, not having enough can affect bone health and increase the risk of osteoporosis. Therefore, it's important to meet your daily calcium needs to maintain healthy bones and overall well-being.
The recommended dietary allowance (RDA) for calcium varies depending on age. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the RDA for adults is 600mg, and pregnant and lactating women should aim for 1200mg. For any doubts consult your doctor.
You can schedule a calcium test with an accredited laboratory to measure calcium levels in your blood. After receiving the report, consult your doctor for evaluation of the results.
Taking calcium supplements and consuming calcium-rich/fortified foods can lead to higher calcium intake than necessary. Excess calcium may cause bloating, constipation, a chalky taste in your mouth, increased risk of kidney stones, prostate cancer, and heart disease.
Your doctor may recommend increasing consumption of foods rich in calcium, such as dairy products (milk, yogurt, cheese), citrus fruits (oranges), fortified breakfast cereals, soy milk, and bread. In severe cases, your doctor might prescribe calcium supplements. Always consult your doctor before taking any calcium supplement.
It is generally recommended to take any multivitamin in the morning after breakfast for optimal nutrient absorption.
