Burcut Ointment is a combination of three medicines: Metronidazole, Sucralfate, and Povidone Iodine. Metronidazole is an antibiotic. It kills the bacteria and other microorganisms that cause infections by damaging the DNA. Sucralfate is an anti-ulcer medicine which covers the damaged tissue and protects it against injury to facilitate healing. Povidone Iodine is an antiseptic. It slowly releases iodine which kills or prevents the growth of infectious microorganisms.
