Introduction

Bupet N 2mg/0.5mg Tablet may be habit-forming and should be taken only as directed by your doctor. The medicine may be a part of your treatment which could include receiving social and psychological support. It may be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. Take it at the same time each day as this helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor and if you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember it. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. It is important that this medication is not stopped suddenly without talking to your doctor as it may worsen your symptoms.

Bupet N 2mg/0.5mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: buprenorphine and naloxone which treat opioid addiction. Buprenorphine is an opioid partial agonist. It prevents withdrawal symptoms in patients who stop taking opioid drugs by producing similar effects to these drugs. Naloxone is an opioid antagonist which blocks the opioid receptors to prevent withdrawal side effects.

Bupet N 2mg/0.5mg Tablet is used for the treatment of opoid addiction and dependence. Some people feel uncomfortable during the first two to three days of taking Bupet N 2mg/0.5mg Tablet. Continue taking it as advised by your doctor. This medicine has been prescribed for you. Never give it to other people even if their condition appears to be the same as yours. It is important that you keep your regular appointments with your doctor or clinic so your progress can be reviewed. You are more likely to succeed in staying off opioid drugs if you have support and counseling in addition to taking Bupet N 2mg/0.5mg Tablet. Inform your doctor if you are taking anti-depressants. Inform your doctor if you have any breathing problems such as asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), high blood pressure, liver or kidney problems.
