Bryxta 400 Injection is a anti-angiogenic medication. It works by blocking a protein called vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). This stops the formation of blood vessels that bring oxygen and nutrients to cancerous cells.

Bryxta 400 Injection is approved for the treatment of certain types of colon or rectal cancers that have spread to other parts of the body. It must be administered alongside chemotherapy. It helps with certain types of lung cancer, kidney cancer, ovarian cancer, cervical cancer, and glioblastoma (a type of brain tumor).
Bryxta 400 Injection is administered via infusion. This means you receive it through a small needle inserted into a vein or through a port, a device placed under your skin, that allows for continuous administration of medication. Your doctor will determine the dosage and duration and monitor you for signs of an infusion reaction.
You continue taking Bryxta 400 Injection as long as your disease is controlled, and side effects are manageable. Your doctor will determine whether to discontinue treatment. If your cancer progresses during the initial treatment, discuss with your doctor if chemotherapy may be an alternative.
While chemotherapy targets fast-growing cells like cancer cells, Bryxta 400 Injection works by preventing the growth of new blood vessels that feed tumors. This results in tumor shrinkage or a halt in their growth.
Chemotherapy is still required alongside Bryxta 400 Injection to enhance its effectiveness. This treatment combination strengthens the therapeutic effect of both drugs for better disease management.
