You have been prescribed Brophil 100mg Capsule for prevention and treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It should be taken at the same time each day, preferably in the evening after food. It does not work right away and should not be used to relieve sudden breathing problems. Always keep a fast-acting (rescue) inhaler with you. Your doctor may take regular blood test to monitor potassium level and the level of this medicine in your body. Do not discontinue use without consulting your doctor even if you feel better.
If you are taking birth control pills, your doctor may recommend a reduced dose of Brophil 100mg Capsule as these medications can interfere with each other's clearance from the body, potentially leading to increased levels of Brophil 100mg Capsule and a higher risk of side effects.
To take Brophil 100mg Capsule correctly, follow your doctor's instructions carefully. It is also recommended that you take the capsule with food to minimize the risk of an upset stomach.
When taking both furosemide and Brophil 100mg Capsule, be aware that their combined use may decrease potassium levels. To ensure your safety, have your doctor regularly monitor your potassium levels.
You should not take Brophil 100mg Capsule if you are allergic to ambroxol, Brophil 100mg Capsule, or theophylline.
