Bronchodin LS Syrup is a combination of three medicines: Ambroxol, Levosalbutamol, and Guaifenesin which relieves cough with mucus.
Bronchodin LS Syrup relieves cough accompanied with mucus that is associated with broncho-pulmonary disorders such as bronchitis, bronchial asthma, and emphysema. It may cause dizziness and sleepiness. Do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how it affects you. If you are diabetic, monitor your blood glucose regularly while taking this medicine. Inform your doctor if you have a history of thyroid or heart disease. Stop taking Bronchodin LS Syrup and inform your doctor if your cough persists for more than 1 week, tends to recur, or is accompanied by a fever, rash, or persistent headache.
Bronchodin LS Syrup contains three medications: Ambroxol, Levosalbutamol/Levalbuterol, and Guaifenesin. It is used to treat cough with mucus. Ambroxol acts as a mucolytic, thinning and loosening the mucus (phlegm) for easier coughing. Levosalbutamol is a bronchodilator that relaxes airway muscles, widening them. Guaifenesin functions as an expectorant, decreasing the stickiness of mucus and aiding in its removal from the airways.
Bronchodin LS Syrup is generally considered safe for most patients. However, it can cause common side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, allergic reactions, dizziness, headache, rash, urticaria, tremor, palpitations, muscle cramps, and increased heart rate. If you experience any persistent problems while taking this medication, inform your doctor.
Bronchodin LS Syrup is not suitable for patients with a history of allergies to any of its active or inactive ingredients. Combining Levosalbutamol and beta-blockers like propranolol should be avoided.
Yes, Bronchodin LS Syrup can cause dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady, or lightheaded) in some patients. If you experience dizziness, rest for a while and resume after feeling better. Do not drive or operate machinery.
Yes, Bronchodin LS Syrup can cause diarrhea. In case of diarrhea, drink plenty of fluids. Consult your doctor if diarrhea persists and you notice dehydration symptoms like decreased urination with dark-colored, strong-smelling urine. Do not take any other medication without consulting your doctor.
