Bioflo MZ Oral Suspension is a combination of three active ingredients, including antibiotics and a gas-absorbing agent. It is used to treat bacterial infections in children, and is also given as an empirical antibiotic for infected diarrhea mixed with blood and serious infections like peritonitis.

Side Effects

Diarrhea is a common side effect of this medicine. If it occurs, make sure your child drinks plenty of water. Your child may have an altered taste or furry tongue (coating of Bioflo MZ Oral Suspension on tongue) after taking Bioflo MZ Oral Suspension. Eating citrus fruit or sipping plenty of water or fruit juice may help. Do not give any calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin, or antacid within 2 hours of taking Bioflo MZ Oral Suspension as these can affect the absorption of the medicine. Never use this medicine for the common cold and flu as they are caused by viruses and Bioflo MZ Oral Suspension treats only bacterial infections. Discontinue Bioflo MZ Oral Suspension and inform the doctor immediately if your child develops a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or has difficulty in breathing.

This kills the infection-causing bacteria, preventing its growth and stopping the infection. Simethicone binds with the gas bubbles produced as a result of the other two ingredients or as a result of some other problem, aiding in the removal of gases and providing relief in stomach pain and bloating.
