The active ingredient, Propranolol, is a beta blocker that works by affecting the body's response to nerve impulses, especially in the heart. It slows down the heart rate, making it easier for the heart to pump blood around the body, thereby preventing arrhythmias. Additionally, it widens blood vessels for better blood flow, which helps prevent angina and migraines. While the exact mechanism for preventing tremors is not fully understood, it is believed to block nerve impulses to the muscles responsible for tremors. Propranolol also blocks the effects of adrenaline and noradrenaline, which are responsible for increasing heart rate and anxiety.
