Berirab P 750IU Injection is used with rabies vaccine to prevent Rabies.

Berirab P 750IU Injection works by giving your body the antibodies it needs to protect it against the rabies virus. It is administered only once, at the beginning of anti-rabies prophylaxis, to previously unvaccinated persons.
Your doctor or nurse will give you this medicine. Kindly do not self-administer.
Berirab P 750IU Injection works by giving your body the antibodies it needs to protect it against the rabies virus. This is called passive protection.
Berirab P 750IU Injection protects you against rabies after you have been bitten, scratched or received any injury from a suspected animal with rabies. Given with first dose of rabies vaccine or not more than 7 days after the scratch or injury. Given by injection around the wound and into the muscle at the side of the thigh (intramuscular). Protects you against rabies after you have been bitten, scratched or received any injury from a suspected animal with rabies. Berirab P 750IU Injection is a solution containing a large amount of rabies antibodies. It is used to provide protection against rabies. It is given either along with the first dose of anti-rabies vaccine (ARV) or not more than 7 days later.
Rabies is a 100% preventable disease. Proper wound management and simultaneous administration of Berirab P 750IU Injection combined with anti-rabies vaccine (ARV) is almost invariably effective in preventing rabies, even after high-risk exposure.
Berirab P 750IU Injection is not required for patients who have previously received a complete vaccination series of rabies.
The pain associated with Berirab P 750IU Injection is dependent on individual pain tolerance. During the initial treatment, a healthcare professional will administer the injection in the area where you were bitten, which may be painful. A relatively greater amount of Berirab P 750IU Injection may be required to be placed in and around the wound site to ease pain and treat infection.
Equine Rabies Immunoglobulin is more economical compared to Berirab P 750IU Injection, making it more affordable for patients in developing countries. However, Equine Rabies Immunoglobulin has a high potential to cause anaphylaxis, serum sickness, and other allergic reactions, which may lead physicians to hesitate in using it.
