This medication works by blocking an enzyme required to make 'bad' cholesterol in the liver, thereby lowering its levels. It is important to follow your doctor's advice regarding dosage and duration. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Bempezen 180mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Bempezen 180mg Tablet works by blocking an enzyme (enzyme adenosine triphosphate-citrate lyase) that is required to make 'bad' cholesterol (low-density lipoprotein) in the liver, which results in lower levels of 'bad' cholesterol.
