Barijak Tablet is used in combination with Remdesivir for the treatment of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in hospitalized adults.

Barijak Tablet can be taken with or without food, but it is best to take them at the same time each day. Your dose will depend on your condition and what other medicines you are taking. You should use it as your doctor tells you to. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells you to because your condition could get worse.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Barijak Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
The most common side effects of Barijak Tablet include throat and nose infections, nausea, and viral infection.
Consuming alcohol with Barijak Tablet does not cause any harmful side effects.
Barijak Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Barijak Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks.
Barijak Tablet is a Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitor that inhibits the activity of selective JAK1 and JAK2 enzymes which interfere with the JAK-STAT signaling pathway (a chain of protein-cell interactions involved in processes such as immunity, cell division, cell death, and tumor formation).
Your doctor may get TB (tuberculosis) skin test and a chest X-ray before starting treatment with this medication.
