Your child must complete the entire course of antibiotics. Stopping too soon may cause the bacteria to multiply again, become resistant, or cause another infection.

Bactivid M Suspension is an antibiotic having ofloxacin and metronidazole as its active ingredients. Both these medicines damage the DNA of the infection-causing bacteria, thus killing it by stopping its growth. This prevents the infection from spreading without making the bacteria resistant to further treatment.

• If your child develops diarrhea as a side effect, encourage them to drink plenty of water.
• Eating citrus fruit or sipping plenty of water or fruit juice may help if your child experiences an altered taste.
• Do not give any calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin, or antacid to your child within 2 hours of taking Bactivid M Suspension as these can affect the absorption of the medicine.
• Conditions like common cold and flu are caused by viruses. Never use this medicine for such conditions.
• Discontinue Bactivid M Suspension and inform the doctor immediately if your child develops a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or has difficulty in breathing.
