Introduction

Bacter OZ Suspension is an antibiotic medicine that is given to children to effectively treat a wide range of bacterial infections that may occur in the teeth, lungs, gastrointestinal infections, urinary and genital tract.

Do not give any calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin, or antacid within 2 hours of taking Bacter OZ Suspension as these can affect the absorption of the medicine.

Side Effects

Diarrhea Altered taste or furry tongue (coating of Bacter OZ Suspension on tongue) Dizziness and sleepiness

Alcohol Warning

Avoid consuming alcohol when taking Bacter OZ Suspension as it may irritate your stomach and also cause excessive drowsiness.

Breastfeeding Warning

Inform your doctor if you are breastfeeding.

Pregnancy Warning

Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to conceive.

Bacter OZ Suspension is an antibiotic consisting of ofloxacin and ornidazole as its active ingredients. Both these ingredients tamper the bacteria's DNA. Thus, it kills the infection-causing bacteria, stopping the infection and the bacteria from growing further without making them resistant to further treatment.

Encourage your child to drink plenty of water in case of diarrhea Eating citrus fruit or sipping plenty of water or fruit juice may help with altered taste or furry tongue Do not give Bacter OZ Suspension to your child for viral infections such as common cold and flu Quit giving Bacter OZ Suspension and speak to the doctor immediately if your child develops a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or has difficulty in breathing
