Azelite Cream is for external use only. You should always use it exactly as prescribed. Both the affected area and your hands should be clean and dry before application. Use this medicine regularly to get the most benefit from it. Do not use more than you need as it will not clear your condition faster and some side effects may be increased. If your condition goes on for longer than four weeks or gets worse at any time, let your doctor know. You can help this medication work better by keeping the affected areas clean. Azelite Cream has a few potential side effects but not everyone will get them. These include application site reactions like burning, irritation, itching, and redness. Let your doctor know if you’re bothered by these or they do not go away. Avoid getting the medicine in your eye. In case of accidental contact, rinse thoroughly with water. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or plan to become pregnant, you should consult your doctor before using this medicine.

Before applying the cream/gel, clean the skin thoroughly with plain water and make it dry. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth or other inner skin layers (mucous membranes). In case of accidental contact, wash immediately with large amounts of cold water. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding.

How much of Azelite Cream should be applied?
Use it exactly as recommended by your doctor. As a general guide, if your whole face is affected, use 2.5 cm (approx. 0.5 g) of cream each time. If you have acne on your chest and back in addition to your face, adjust the amount accordingly.
How long does Azelite Cream take to show complete effect?
The time it takes for Azelite Cream to show significant improvement in acne varies from person to person. It depends on the severity of the acne at the start of treatment. Usually, you will see some noticeable improvement after about 4 weeks. However, for optimal results, your doctor may advise using Azelite Cream regularly for several months. Nevertheless, you should not use Azelite Cream continuously for more than 12 months at any time.
Does Azelite Cream lighten skin?
Azelite Cream may cause a change in skin color, especially if you have dark-colored skin. If you notice any changes in your skin color, contact your doctor immediately.
Does Azelite Cream help blackheads?
Azelite Cream works by killing the bacteria (Propionibacterium acnes) that is responsible for acne. It also reduces the growth of the harder outermost skin cells that block the pores of the skin, leading to blackheads and whiteheads.
How should Azelite Cream be applied?
Before applying the cream, thoroughly wash the area to be treated with water. If your skin is oily, use a mild cleanser. Make sure the skin is dry before applying the cream. After applying the cream, gently rub it in. Always wash your hands thoroughly after using the product.
How often should Azelite Cream be used?
Azelite Cream should be applied to the affected areas of the skin twice daily (morning and evening), unless your doctor provides otherwise. Those with sensitive skin might use it just once a day (in the evening) during the first week of treatment. After this initial week, they can continue using it twice a day.
Can Azelite Cream be used to treat melasma?
Azelite Cream is not approved for treating melasma. It should only be used for acne and rosacea (a skin disease that causes redness, flushing, and pimples on the face). However, it may be used for melasma if prescribed by your doctor.
