This medication is particularly useful for long-lasting pain caused by nerve damage. However, it is important to be aware of potential side effects and precautions, such as the risk of hallucinations, fever, sweating, shivering, fast heart rate, muscle twitching, and loss of coordination. Axopro Tablet SR is a combination of three medicines: Pregabalin, Nortriptyline, and Methylcobalamin. Pregabalin decreases pain by modulating calcium channel activity in nerve cells. Nortriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant that increases the levels of chemical messengers (serotonin and noradrenaline) to stop the movement of pain signals in the brain. Methylcobalamin is a form of vitamin B that helps in the production of myelin, a substance that protects nerve fibers and rejuvenates damaged nerve cells. Together, they relieve neuropathic pain.
