Axoderm 1% Dusting Powder is an antifungal medication used to treat fungal skin infections such as ringworm, athlete's foot, nappy rash, sweat rash, and vaginal thrush.

Axoderm 1% Dusting Powder is for external use only. You should use it in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. This medicine should be used regularly to get the most benefit from it. Do not use more than you need as that may cause increased side effects. If your condition goes on for longer than four weeks or gets worse at any time, let your doctor know. The effects of this medicine can be increased by keeping the affected area clean and dry and washing hands before and after treating the infection. If you have an athlete's foot, wash your socks or tights thoroughly and change your shoes daily if possible. Some of the common side effects include skin irritation, redness, or itching at the site of application. If the side effects bother you or do not go away, let your doctor know. Some people have a severe allergic reaction that needs urgent medical attention. Signs of this include rash, swelling of the lips, throat, or face, swallowing or breathing problems, dizziness and nausea. Get emergency help if this happens. It is not likely that other medicines you take by mouth or injection will affect the way it works but talk to your doctor before using it if you have used a similar medicine before and had an allergic reaction. This medicine should only be used if it is clearly needed during pregnancy.

Axoderm 1% Dusting Powder is an antifungal medication which treats skin infections. It works by killing the fungi on the skin by destroying their cell membrane.
Keep your feet clean and dry, particularly between the toes. Cut your nails short and prefer open-toe shoes for everyday use. Keep your vagina clean and dry. Use a separate clean towel for the infected area. Take a shower with antifungal soap after gyming or severe sweating. Never share your socks, shoes, and towel with others. Apply a sufficient amount to cover the affected area and 1 inch of the immediate surrounding skin. Avoid getting it in the eyes, nose, or mouth. If accidental exposure occurs, rinse immediately with plenty of water. Inform your doctor if the infection does not clear up even after four weeks of treatment. If used topically on the nipple area, wash breasts before feeding your child. Do not apply Axoderm 1% Dusting Powder on cuts or burns. Keep away from children.
Axoderm 1% Dusting Powder is an antifungal medicine. It is used to treat fungal skin infections, such as ringworm (a fungal skin infection that causes a red scaly rash on different parts of the body), athlete's foot (fungal infection of the skin on the feet and between the toes), fungal nappy rash, and fungal sweat rash. It is also used to relieve irritation of the vulva (external thrush) and irritation occurring at the end of the penis, which may be associated with thrush.
Axoderm 1% Dusting Powder is effective against Trichophyton species, commonly known as the causative agent for ringworm, athlete's foot, and jock itch. It is also effective against Candida, a yeast that can cause vaginal thrush (an infection caused by an overgrowth of the Candida fungus).
The symptoms of skin infections, such as itching or soreness, usually show improvement within a few days of treatment. However, the signs such as redness and scaling may take longer to disappear completely. Do not stop applying this medicine before the duration advised by your doctor, even if you feel better.
Always wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying Axoderm 1% Dusting Powder. If applying it to an infected foot, wash and dry your feet thoroughly before and after application, paying special attention to the areas between the toes. Apply Axoderm 1% Dusting Powder thinly and evenly onto the affected area two or three times a day.
The duration of treatment depends on the type of infection. In general, treatment for tinea infection is continued for one month, while treatment for Candida infections requires a minimum of 15 days.
Axoderm 1% Dusting Powder is only safe for use in children if prescribed and administered by a doctor. Dosage should be specific to the child's age and weight and used only under medical supervision.
