Aximac Tablet is an anti-cancer medicine used in the treatment of kidney cancer.

Aximac Tablet can be taken with or without food but try to have it at the same time every day to get the most benefits. Your doctor will decide what dose is necessary and how often you need to take it. This will depend on what you are being treated for and may change from time to time. You should take it exactly as your doctor has advised. Taking it in the wrong way or taking too much can cause very serious side effects. It may take several weeks or months for you to see or feel the benefits but do not stop taking it unless your doctor tells you to. The most common side effects of this medicine include high blood pressure, joint pain, and loss of appetite. Diarrhea, shortness of breath, can be serious sometimes so take medicine to treat it as prescribed by the doctor or stay hydrated. Your doctor may advise for regular blood pressure checkups while you are taking this medicine. Inform your doctor if you notice a severe headache, confusion, problems with your eyesight, nausea or vomiting. Before taking it, tell your doctor if you have thyroid problems, liver or bleeding problems or are taking any medicines to treat infections. Many other medicines can affect or be affected by this medicine so let your healthcare team know all medications you are using. This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. The use of effective contraception by females during treatment is important to avoid pregnancy.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Aximac Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Aximac Tablet is an anti-cancer medication. It works by blocking the action of the abnormal protein that signals cancer cells to multiply. This helps to stop or slow the spread of cancer cells.

Use a reliable contraceptive method to prevent pregnancy while you are taking this medicine and for a month after you stop taking it. Inform your doctor if you notice symptoms of very high blood pressure such as severe headache, confusion, problems with your eyesight, nausea or vomiting. It may cause serious bleeding problem. Inform your doctor if you get headaches, stomach pain or if you notice blood in your urine or stools. Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant, planning to conceive or breastfeeding.
Some possible signs and symptoms of kidney cancer include: blood in the urine (hematuria) that may appear dark red, orange, or pink. As kidney cancer progresses, it can lead to symptoms such as persistent pain, pressure just below the ribs, or intense fatigue.
The duration of treatment varies depending on the individual's condition, response to treatment, and tolerance to side effects. Your doctor will determine your specific treatment plan based on these factors.
Seek medical attention immediately if you experience signs of an allergic reaction, such as rash, hives, itching, and blisters. Also inform your doctor if you notice any bleeding or blood in your cough, very high blood pressure, thyroid problems with changes in weight, nervousness, restlessness, weakness, thinning of hair after taking Aximac Tablet. Additionally, contact your doctor immediately for sudden mood changes, fast heart rate, change in voice, fever, or chills.
Before starting Aximac Tablet, your doctor may advise you to undergo the following laboratory tests: blood pressure test, thyroid function test, kidney function test, liver or pancreatic function tests, complete blood counts, urine tests, and blood mineral levels (sodium or potassium). Women of childbearing age should have a pregnancy test before starting this medication.
Individuals allergic to axitinib or any other ingredient in the medicine should not use Aximac Tablets. Consult your doctor if you are unsure about taking the medication.
Aximac Tablet may cause fertility problems in both males and females. It is crucial to speak with your doctor before starting treatment to explore ways to preserve fertility.
General fatigue is a common side effect experienced during Aximac Tablet treatment. Adjusting your schedule and taking adequate rest are crucial. In addition, walking can be helpful for coping with this fatigue.
Regular monitoring of thyroid function is recommended before and during treatment with Aximac Tablet. Consult your doctor for blood tests to assess thyroid function. Inform your doctor if you experience symptoms such as feeling more tired than usual, weight gain or loss, sensitivity to hot or cold weather, hair loss, voice changes (such as deepening of the voice), muscle cramps, and aches.
Reversible Posterior Leukoencephalopathy Syndrome (RPLS) is a rare but serious neurological complication associated with Aximac Tablet. It's characterized by symptoms like headaches, vision problems, mental changes, seizures, high blood pressure, weakness, and swelling in the brain. This condition is reversible, and symptoms subsides once treatment begins. Consult your doctor immediately if you experience any of these worrisome episodes while taking Aximac tablets.
This medication may cause side effects like excessive tiredness, swelling in the abdomen, legs, or ankles, shortness of breath, or protruding neck veins. These are alarming symptoms requiring immediate attention. These symptoms necessitate seeking medical assistance and must be addressed promptly to prevent serious complications.
Store the medication at room temperature in a dry place, away from children and pets, to prevent accidental intake.
