Introduction
Avoprost D 8mg/0.5mg Capsule is a combination of two medicines, Silodosin and Dutasteride, that work together to relieve symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). It helps alleviate issues such as difficulty urinating or frequent urination. Silodosin is an alpha-blocker that relaxes the muscles around the bladder exit and prostate gland, facilitating easier urine passage. Dutasteride is a 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor that shrinks the prostate gland by reducing hormone levels that promote its growth. This medication is not intended to prevent prostate cancer. Common side effects may include dizziness, blurred vision, and sexual dysfunction. Always consult your doctor for personalized advice and information.
