How it works
Avidic-MR Tablet is a combination of a muscle relaxant (Chlorzoxazone) and two pain relieving medicines (Diclofenac and Paracetamol). The muscle relaxant works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm, thereby improving movement of muscles. The pain relieving medicines work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and inflammation.

Frequently asked questions
What is Avidic-MR Tablet?
Avidic-MR Tablet contains diclofenac, paracetamol, and chlorzoxazone. These medicines are used to relieve muscle pain. Chlorzoxazone works by affecting the central nervous system; diclofenac and paracetamol work by reducing prostaglandins (chemical substances involved in pain and inflammation).
Is Avidic-MR Tablet safe to use?
Avidic-MR Tablet is generally safe for most patients. However, some individuals may experience side effects such as nausea, vomiting, heartburn, stomach pain, diarrhea, loss of appetite, dry mouth, weakness, sleepiness, and other rare or uncommon side effects. If you encounter persistent problems related to the medication, inform your doctor immediately.
Can I stop taking Avidic-MR Tablet when my pain is relieved?
Your doctor will advise you on how long to take Avidic-MR Tablet. You may discontinue it if using it for short-term pain relief.
Can the use of Avidic-MR Tablet cause nausea and vomiting?
Yes, Avidic-MR Tablet can lead to nausea and vomiting in some individuals. If you experience nausea while taking this medicine, consider taking it with milk, food, or antacids. Avoid consuming fatty or fried foods. If you vomit, drink small sips of water frequently. If vomiting persists or signs of dehydration (dark urine, low urination frequency) appear, consult your doctor immediately and do not take other medications without seeking their advice.
Can the use of Avidic-MR Tablet cause dizziness?
Yes, Avidic-MR Tablet can cause dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady, or lightheaded) in some people. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded, rest and resume your routine once you regain your balance.
Can the use of Avidic-MR Tablet cause damage to the kidneys?
Long-term use of Avidic-MR Tablet can potentially damage kidneys. Prostaglandins, a chemical produced by normal kidneys, protect them from damage. Painkillers lower prostaglandin levels in the body, increasing the risk of kidney damage over time. Individuals with pre-existing kidney disease should avoid using Avidic-MR Tablet.
Can I take a higher dose than the recommended dose?
Taking a higher dose of Avidic-MR Tablet can increase the risk of side effects. If you are experiencing increased pain intensity or if the medication's effect is insufficient, consult your doctor for an evaluation.
What are the recommended storage conditions for Avidic-MR Tablet?
Store this medicine in its original container with the lid closed. Follow the instructions on the label or packaging. Do not discard the unused medication and ensure it is inaccessible to pets, children, and other individuals.
