Aurocaine Eye Drop is a local anesthetic used to anesthetize the eye before minor procedures, such as cataract surgery. It is for external use only and should be used in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. To use, hold the dropper close to the eye, squeeze the bottle gently to put the drops into the eyes, and avoid touching the tip of the dropper with the eye. The most common side effects include temporary redness, stinging, or burning sensation at the application site. If these side effects persist, inform your doctor. In case the medicine goes into your ears, nose, or mouth, immediately rinse it with water and inform your doctor. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or are allergic to this medicine or taking any other medication.
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off the extra liquid.
Aurocaine Eye Drop works by blocking pain signals from the peripheral nerves to the brain, which decreases the sensation of pain.
Aurocaine Eye Drop is commonly used to anesthetize the eye before cataract surgery or any other surgery in the eye. Usually 1-2 drops are sufficient to anesthetize the eye. The effect of Aurocaine Eye Drop lasts for up to half an hour.
