Attera 40mg Tablet is a non-stimulant medicine that modulates the activity of certain chemical messengers in the brain, increasing attention and decreasing restlessness. It is advised to take this medicine at a fixed time each day to maintain a consistent level in the blood. If you miss any doses, take it as soon as you remember. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. This medication mustn't be stopped suddenly as it may worsen your symptoms.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Attera 40mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Attera 40mg Tablet.
Attera 40mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Attera 40mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you.

Take Attera 40mg Tablet at the same time every day to help you remember to take it. Your doctor will monitor your heart rate and blood pressure regularly while taking the medicine. It may cause dizziness or sleepiness. Do not drive or do anything that requires concentration until you know how it affects you. Inform your doctor if you experience unusual changes in mood or behavior or suicidal thoughts. Do not stop taking medicine without talking to your doctor first.
The effects of Attera 40mg Tablet typically become noticeable within a month. However, if you are not experiencing improvement after one month, your dosage may be adjusted by your doctor.
Nausea is a common side effect of this medication. To minimize nausea, consider eating smaller, more frequent meals. Avoid consuming food that is salty, spicy, fried, or fatty.
Seek immediate medical attention if you experience any of the following: suicidal thoughts, chest pain, severe stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, dark urine, pale stools, or jaundice (yellowing of your skin or eyes).
It's important to avoid taking other antidepressants simultaneously with Attera 40mg Tablet unless specifically authorized by your doctor. This is because the combination may lead to adverse effects such as tremors, shivering, muscle stiffness, fever, rapid heartbeat, rapid breathing, or confusion.
Attera 40mg Tablet should only be used in children aged six years and older.
This medication is typically taken once or twice daily, ideally early in the morning and late in the afternoon/early evening. If you feel excessively sleepy during the day, discuss this with your doctor to determine the best time for taking your medication.
