Atrolite Eye Drop is an ophthalmic solution used to treat myopia in children. It belongs to a class of medicines called anticholinergic drugs. It works by relaxing the eye muscles that enable the eyes to focus on distant objects. The medicine is given to children who have difficulty seeing distant objects clearly, but can see nearby objects clearly.
Use the eye drops only in the problematic eye unless your child's doctor has suggested otherwise. Adhere to the number of drops as suggested by your child's doctor. Do not use more or less. Go for your child's regular eye check-ups before and during the treatment.

Use the eye drops only in the problematic eye unless your child's doctor has suggested otherwise. Once opened, do not keep Atrolite Eye Drop for more than 28 days at home. Discard the leftover medicine. To avoid contamination, do not touch the tip of the dropper to any surface, including the eyes, eyelids, or eyelashes. If your child is using more than one eye medicine, maintain a gap of few minutes between the two different medications. Adhere to the number of drops as suggested by your child's doctor. Do not use more or less. Go for your child's regular eye check-ups before and during the treatment. Only give Atrolite Eye Drop to your child for their current problem. Never save medicine for future illnesses.
Atrolite Eye Drops can be used anytime as prescribed by the doctor, but it may be best administered just before bedtime for children. This is because Atrolite Eye Drops may cause temporary blurred vision.
Atrolite Eye Drops are typically used in young children to prevent the progression of myopia. However, it is not known to have any beneficial effect in older children who have already progressed myopia. Therefore, it's best to consult your child's doctor for a recommendation.
Overdose of Atrolite Eye Drops can lead to anticholinergic effects (dry mouth), cardiovascular changes (fast heart rate, irregular heartbeat), and central nervous system effects (confusion, restlessness, hallucinations, convulsions). It is important not to exceed the recommended dose.
Atrolite Eye Drops may interact with other medications or eye drops. Always consult your child’s doctor before administering any additional medication along with Atrolite Eye Drops.
Atrolite Eye Drops are for external use only and should be kept out of the sight and reach of children. Store them upright at room temperature in a dry place away from direct sunlight.
