Introduction
Atrodex-C Eye Drop is a prescription medicine that is used for the treatment of inflammation in the eyes (uveitis). It helps in relieving pain, itching, discomfort, and irritation which are caused due to inflammation. It also has antibacterial property which help in preventing and controlling eye infections.
Directions for Use
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off the extra liquid.
How it works
Atrodex-C Eye Drop is a combination of three medicines: Atropine, Chloramphenicol, and Dexamethasone. Atropine is an anticholinergic medicine which works by making the pupil of your eye larger and relax the muscles in your eye. Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic which stops bacterial growth by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Dexamethasone is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye red, swollen, and itchy.

Wash your hands after using the eye drops Do not touch the dropper tip or let it touch your eye or any other surface Close your eyes and place one finger at the corner of your eye. Apply gentle pressure for 1 to 2 minutes before opening your eyes Do not wear contact lenses during treatment and for 24 hours after your last dose Discard the eye drops 4 weeks after the first opening Inform your doctor if you have been told you have a higher than normal pressure in your eye or if you have glaucoma Atrodex-C Eye Drop may cause blurred vision which may last for some time. Make sure you can see clearly again before you drive and before you use tools or machines
