Atrocin Eye Ointment is a combination of two medicines: Atropine and Tetracycline. Atropine is an anticholinergic medicine which works by making the pupil of your eye larger and relax the muscles in your eye. Tetracycline is an antibiotic which stops bacterial growth by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.
Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute immediately after instilling the drop. Wait at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution. Atrocin Eye Ointment might cause blurring of vision. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how medicine affects you. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding.
