How it works
Atrochlor D Eye Drop is a combination of three medicines: Atropine, Chloramphenicol, and Dexamethasone. Atropine is an anticholinergic medicine that works by making the pupil of your eye larger and relaxing the muscles in your eye. Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic that stops bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Dexamethasone is a steroid medicine that blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye red, swollen, and itchy.
Quick Tips
Atrochlor D Eye Drop is used for the treatment of uveitis. Wash your hands after using the eye drops and avoid getting the product into the mouth. To avoid contamination, do not touch the dropper tip or let it touch your eye or any other surface. After applying Atrochlor D Eye Drop, close your eyes and place one finger at the corner of your eye. Apply gentle pressure for 1 to 2 minutes before opening your eyes. This will prevent the medication from draining out. Try not to blink or rub your eye. Do not wear contact lenses during treatment and for 24 hours after your last dose. The eye drops should be discarded 4 weeks after the first opening. Inform your doctor if you have been told you have a higher than normal pressure in your eye or if you have glaucoma. Atrochlor D Eye Drop may cause blurred vision which may last for some time. Make sure you can see clearly again before you drive and before you use tools or machines.
