AT Plus Artificial Tears belongs to a class of medications called ophthalmic solutions, specifically artificial tears. It is available as eye drops and is used to provide relief from dryness, irritation, burning, and discomfort associated with dry eye conditions. These conditions can be caused by insufficient tear production, infrequent blinking, exposure to smoke or wind, pollution, prolonged use of electronic devices like computers or televisions, medical treatment, or dry atmospheric conditions. AT Plus Artificial Tears may also help with the insertion of contact lenses and provide increased comfort when wearing them.
AT Plus Artificial Tears is effective if used as directed by your healthcare professional. It's crucial not to stop using it even if you experience improvement in your condition, as stopping the medication too early could lead to a return of symptoms or worsen them.
For dry eyes: Instil 1 or 2 drops into the affected eye(s) as needed. For lubricating soft and rigid gas-permeable lenses: Apply 1 to 2 drops to each eye with the lenses on, as directed by your healthcare professional or if your doctor provides additional instructions.
