Astepraz 40 Injection is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in relief of acid related indigestion and heartburn. It is also used to prevent stress ulcers in seriously ill patients and is administered before anesthetic medication to help prevent aspiration-related complications. The dose will depend on your underlying condition and how you respond to the medicine. Additionally, your doctor will decide the duration of treatment.
