Astafert 2mg Tablet is to be swallowed with water. It can be taken with or without food but remember to take it at a fixed time each day for better efficacy. The dose and duration will be decided by your doctor so that you get the right amount to control your symptoms.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Astafert 2mg Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Astafert 2mg Tablet contains a medication called estrogen (female sex hormone). It works by replacing estrogen that is normally produced by the body. In women who are undergoing or have attained menopause, it prevents symptoms such as hot flushes, vaginal burning, dryness, and itching caused due to lack of estrogen.
Take it at the same time every day to help you remember to take it. Inform your doctor if you experience any unusual vaginal bleeding or spotting. It may also be used for preventing osteoporosis in postmenopausal women who are at high risk of fractures.
Astafert 2mg Tablet contains Estradiol, an estrogen hormone, which helps treat estrogen deficiency symptoms such as hot flushes and vaginal dryness in women. It is also used to prevent osteoporosis in postmenopausal women at high risk of fractures and with limited treatment options.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. If the dose was missed by more than 12 hours, do not take the missed dose and continue with your usual dosing schedule.
Common side effects of Astafert 2mg Tablet include lower abdominal pain, period pain, breast tenderness, endometrial hyperplasia, and vaginal discharge. Most of these symptoms are temporary, but if they persist, consult your doctor as soon as possible.
Treatment for estrogen deficiency is based on the underlying cause. Your doctor may choose from various medications depending on your age, clinical conditions, and whether you are estrogen deficient or have high progesterone levels.
Astafert 2mg Tablet is not recommended for patients with unusual vaginal bleeding, liver problems, or bleeding disorders. It is also contraindicated in pregnant women, those with a history of uterus or breast cancer, stroke or heart attack, or current or past blood clots.
Astafert 2mg Tablet may cause either weight gain or weight loss. This is a common side effect. Regular exercise and a healthy diet can help prevent weight gain. If you notice weight gain and it bothers you, consult your doctor.
Take Astafert 2mg Tablet exactly as advised by your doctor. Swallow the tablets whole with water. You can take it at any time of the day, but take it at the same time each day.
